The course consists of 9 lessons, covering mechanical assembly, sensors, actuators and many more aspects. The course will open the door of the robot world for children, letting them have great interest in robots, programming and artificial intelligence. In addition, students can build their own robots to participate in RoboCup robot competition.
Course fee (with equipment using in the lab.) $455
EV3 robot can be purchased online for $649.
2. Lego EV3 Explorer. Total of 9 lessons, 1 hour each week, code: LG2
Application requirements: year 5 or above, or year 4 students who are very interested. The course uses graphic language and RobotC language to program the robot.
The robots sensors transform the information of the physical world into data, through the analysis of data, and in turn perform execution in the physical world. The robots sensor is a switching hub of the physical world and the information world. The course will focus of EV3 sensor usage and data analysis methods. Through the accurate use of sensors, students can design more complex and more accurate robot; at the same time, students programming, analysis, and design ability will be improved. Further, the course will teach how to use RobotC language to program robots. RobotC is specially developed for robots in the C language, it is a professional engineer level programming language. Through the study of RobotC, students can gain professional programming ability, deepen the understanding of robotics, artificial intelligence, and also provide a basis for the next step in RoboCup robot competition.
